Markhor

Concept Cristina Kristal Rizzo e Enrico Malatesta Choreography and Dance Cristina Kristal Rizzo Live Sound Enrico Malatesta Production TIR DANZA

This project brings about an encounter between autonomous forms of expression, the dance of Cristina Kristal Rizzo and the sound material of Enrico Malatesta. The result of a path in which the element of improvisation was the field of study and adherence to the autonomy of the gesture, the piece is generated on some key elements, such as the production and diffusion of sound through objects, percussion, portable audio reproduction, which arranges the space as listening to a vision and the use of the body as an acting power of rhythm in the making. The listening space is therefore self-generating matter and form for a vision in which the senses are predisposed to micro and macro, to the play of the movement of the bodies and objects involved, to a free follow-up of a sound wave, in a live generation of gaze and listening as a grammar of being in the reciprocal event.

(...) The Markhor is a wild goat in danger of extinction and is the national animal of Pakistan, during the mating season, the males fight each other, jumping on each other and sticking their horns in an attempt to throw off their balance. 'opponent. (…) The Markhor give off a pungent odor, much more intense than that of domestic goats.
